Graston Technique® currently is utilized by more than 60 major professional and amateur sports organizations, more than 450 leading health care providers, teaching institutes and major corporations. Trainers and clinicians at these organizations are treating elite athletes, patients and employees every day and counting on GT to get them injury free to compete at the highest level. Indiana University was the first to include Graston Technique® in its teaching curriculum. Since 2000, Graston Technique® has been included in the graduate kinesiology course for athletic trainers at Indiana University. GT is included in the curriculum at National University of Health Sciences, Northwestern Health Sciences University, University of Bridgeport (CT) and 10 other chiropractic colleges. In 2005, University of Indianapolis included Graston Technique® as an elective course in its physical therapy doctoral program.
Most importantly, GT is approved as continuing education for chiropractors, occupational therapists and physical therapists by BOC, the accrediting organization for athletic trainers.
GT was first researched in 1991-92 at Ball State University and Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana. Currently, we are engaged in research projects with Indiana University, Texas Back Institute, New York Chiropractic College, Durbin Institute of Technology (South Africa) and St. Vincent Hospital-Indianapolis. |
