Graston Technique, LLC is proud to be an active member of the Indianapolis metro area and places a great deal of importance on giving back to our community. Here are a few of the drives and events that we support each year.
Indy Backpack Attack
The Indy BackPack Attack organizes an event each year that encourages Central Indiana organizations and businesses to collect school supplies for children in need so they can succeed in school. Local businesses display collection bins in their offices to collect donations. Our 2015 display is shown below!
Once the drive concludes, supplies are delivered to a warehouse. Volunteers sort and pack items to distribute to social workers at Indianapolis Public Schools for distribution. The program started in 1999, and since then, has collected more than 3.5 million school supplies. In 2013, they were able to assist more than 45,000 students.
Education is and always will be a fundamental element of Graston Technique®, which is why we love helping local teachers and students get the supplies they need to make learning easier.
Teachers' Treasures bridges the gap between a need in the classroom for supplies and limited resources in school budgets. Dedicated teachers are often willing to pay for these much needed supplies out of their own pockets to make sure the kids in their classrooms have the necessary tools to learn.
The Teachers' Treasures concept is beautifully simple: local businesses and individuals take new or gently used supplies or surplus product that would otherwise be destroyed and donate it for distribution. Teachers use these items in their classrooms for projects or to distribute to their students.
The VET Motorsports program provides its participants with actual hands-on experience and immersion in a unique format, engaging injured warfighters over a sustained period of time and providing access to real-time activities and leadership roles in a high-stress motorsports environment. These events help empower veteran warriors, providing the same adrenalin rush and sense of vitality and teamwork felt in active duty. They engage, participate, and contribute in events that focus on ability and moving forward rather than disability and the past.

For the Holidays
In recent years, Graston Technique, LLC has found a local family or group to sponsor for the holiday season. This is a great opportunity for GT staff to connect with each other and work as a team while being able to bring some cheer to local residents in need.
GT staff and family members come together to help wrap gifts destined for HCR Manor Care residents during the 2014 holiday season.
